Maureen Keefe

Vice President at CCS Fundraising

Maureen Keefe is a development, marketing, and communications professional with over 30 years of experience. Maureen has a strong track record of leading campaigns that have built and increased awareness, driven attendance, and resulted in significant revenue growth for art and culture organizations and higher education institutions. Prior to joining CCS, Maureen was the Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations at the San Francisco Art Institute where she oversaw the Making History Campaign in support of a new Graduate Center. Prior to SFAI, she has overseen advancement and marketing efforts at art museums such as the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and higher education institutions including University of Oregon and Dominican University of California.

Maureen lives by the Dalai Lama’s saying, “It is not enough to be compassionate-you must act.” Advancing critically needed organizations that better the lives of individuals and the world in which we live is a worthy way to spend one’s career. Maureen is grateful to be part of CCS – an organization that is dedicated to both feeling compassion and acting.

Maureen enjoys spending time with her two nearly grown children, frequenting cultural events from art exhibitions to dance performances, swimming in the San Francisco Bay, bike riding in West Marin, attempting New York Times crossword puzzles, and volunteering for an organization that engages youth in the political process and inspires them to be informed citizens.

Maureen received a B.A. in Art History from University of Delaware and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University.
