Aimee Geissler has extensive experience in public health and epidemiology, holding various leadership positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since June 2009, including Regional Global Health Security Associate Director and COVID-19 Response Lead. Aimee has directed global health security initiatives, led responses to Ebola outbreaks, and managed enteric disease epidemiology efforts. Previous roles include serving as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and a Career Epidemiology Field Officer. Aimee's academic background includes a PhD in Infectious Disease Immunology and an MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley. Additional experiences include volunteering with Camp Heartland and conducting medical research at the National Institutes of Health.
