Jerome Garrett, Jr., MPH, FAC-COR is a Senior Public Health Advisor and Quarantine Public Health Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with experience in planning and implementing surveillance programs for disease response at U.S. ports of entry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, Jerome served as a Co-Lead Investigator in the Ghana Study Abroad Program, assessing water quality, and held various roles at CDC, including an intern focused on developing key documents for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. Jerome has also managed projects related to emergency preparedness at Georgia Southern University and conducted research on aquaporin gene expression at Bethune-Cookman University. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health degree at Mercer University, Jerome holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bethune-Cookman University.
