Matthew (Matt) Arduino has over 30 years of experience in microbiology and infection prevention, currently serving as a Senior Advisor in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since 2005, Matt has held various leadership positions, including Branch Chief and Deputy Branch Chief of the Clinical and Environmental Microbiology Branch. Matt's expertise extends to environmental hygiene and microbiology, with previous roles as Section Chief in distinct microbiology sections and research microbiologist in a hospital environment. Matt earned a Doctor of Public Health degree in Parasitology and Laboratory Practice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Science in Microbiology from New York Medical College, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
