Quoc Nguyen is an experienced public health professional currently serving as the Chief of the Strategic Information Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since April 2020. Prior to this role, Quoc held various positions at Save the Children International, including Mekong Research and Evidence Advisor, and Deputy Chief of Party for the Global Fund’s Key Population Research and Advocacy Project. Additional experience includes serving as Project Director for the Global Health Security Project at PATH and Associate Director of Strategic Information at FHI 360 in Vietnam. Quoc's career began in research with UNAIDS and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne, and a Medical Doctor degree in Preventive Medicine from Thai Nguyen Medical School.
