Omar Gaidi

Omar Gaidi has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Omar started their career at Wafa Assurance in 2000 as a Statistician Actuary. In 2001, they joined CDG Capital Gestion as an IT Manager. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at CDG Capital as a PMO. Omar then transitioned to the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), working from 2011 to 2014. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Director of Operations at CDG Capital. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at CDG Capital since January 2019.

Omar Gaidi's education history begins with their completion of Preparatory classes for engineering schools at Lycée Mohamed V from 1995 to 1997. Following this, they attended the Institut National de Statistique et d'Economie Appliquée (INSEA) from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a State engineer degree in Operational research.

In 2002, Omar pursued a Master's degree in Project Management at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), completing it in 2004. Omar then attended Groupe ISCAE from 2004 to 2006, obtaining an Executive MBA.

Continuing their education, Omar joined CentraleSupélec from 2019 to 2020, where they received a Master's degree in Enterprise Architecture with a focus on Digital et Architecture des Entreprises.

In 2023, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management and Al Akhawayn University. At MIT, they attained a Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy. At Al Akhawayn University, they obtained a Certificat de spécialisation (CS) de niveau 5 in Transformation digitale.

Alongside their formal education, Omar also holds several additional certifications. Notably, they gained certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management, PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, and a Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle from emlyon business school. Additionally, they have certifications in ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, TOGAF 9 Certified Level from The Open Group, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, and ISO/IEC 27005 Risk Manager from PECB.
