Elizabeth Carter, PMP, P.E. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Elizabeth is currently working as a Client Service Lead at CDM Smith since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at the City of Aurora where they held the positions of Principal Engineer from December 2014 to April 2023, and Senior Project Manager from September 2007 to December 2014. Elizabeth also worked at Boyle Engineering as a Water/Wastewater Division Manager from May 2004 to September 2006. During their time at Boyle Engineering, they were responsible for project work in the Denver office and assisted with interviews and project designs in California. Additionally, they helped develop the business plan, conducted marketing efforts, and handled hiring and personnel reviews. Before joining Boyle Engineering, Elizabeth worked at Rothberg Tamburini & Winsor as a Senior Project Manager from May 1994 to May 2004. In this role, they executed design projects, managed marketing efforts, and served as project manager during construction for a significant wastewater treatment facility expansion and improvement project. Elizabeth started their career at HDR in January 1990 as a Project Engineer and worked there until May 1994.
Elizabeth Carter, PMP, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University from 1983 to 1987. Later, they pursued further education by completing 30 hours of graduate school coursework in Water Quality at the University of Colorado Denver from 1991 to 1997.
In addition to their education, Elizabeth Carter holds various certifications. Elizabeth obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2018. Furthermore, they are an esteemed member of the American Water Works Association and has been recognized for their continuous membership of 20 years through the AWWA Member Badge, which they obtained in November 2022.
