James O’Brien

Mr. James “Jim” O’Brien is an experienced non-profit leader with specialties in State and Federal Contracting, Finance, Grant Management, and Emergency Management. His area of expertise is in project management, quality assurance, data analysis, financial management, recovery management, and grant accounting. Currently, Mr. O’Brien is Senior Manager in Bay County, Florida supporting our recovery efforts for Hurricane Michael.

Prior to joining CDR Maguire, Mr. O’Brien was responsible for statewide oversight and management of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) grant for the State of Florida Department of Emergency Management. He oversaw $28 million that was awarded to the State of Florida Department of Emergency Management and Volunteer Florida, to serve over 141,000 FEMA eligible Hurricane Irma survivors.

Mr. O’Brien is passionate about family, volunteerism, politics, and community building. He earned a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
