Christian Cavata

Christian Cavata has extensive experience in the field of nuclear energy and research coordination, currently serving as Directeur du cabinet de l'administrateur général at CEA since July 2007. Previous roles include Deputy Director of the Direction des analyses stratégiques and Head of the Nuclear Energy Division at Saclay. Additionally, Christian holds the position of Chargé de mission for ANCRE, the National Alliance of Research Coordination for Energy. From 2004 to 2007, Christian was Staff Director of the Office of the Atomic Energy High Commissioner and Associate Director of the Physical Sciences Division at CEA. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Director of the DAPNIA department focusing on astrophysics, nuclear, and particle physics, along with being in charge of nuclear energy at the French Ministry of Research. Christian holds degrees from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble and Paris-Sud University, featuring an Ingénieur degree and a Doctorate in Elementary Particle Physics, respectively, and has also attended IHEDN in 2008.
