Sébastien Castel is an Ingénieur-Chercheur at CEA since October 2021, focusing on physical measurements in glass melting processes, including rheology and thermal and electrical conductivity. Sébastien is also pursuing a Doctorate in Physics at École normale supérieure de Lyon, with a research emphasis on the rheological and structural characterization of sludge and the effects of ultrasound on its flow properties. Previous experience includes internships at CEA, Arkema, FirePro, and CIRAD, where responsibilities ranged from ultrasonic decontamination of contaminated materials to product development for filtration applications and scientific support in chemical analysis. Sébastien holds an engineering degree in material chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier and a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Montpellier.
