Karen O'Connor

Karen O'Connor, MBA has a diverse work experience in various senior roles in the field of Human Resources and Organizational Development. Starting with their most recent position, they served as the Director of Human Resources for North America at CECO Environmental Corporation from May 2020 onwards. Prior to that, they were the Director of HR, Industrial Solutions and Energy Segment at the same company from January 2019 to May 2020.

Before joining CECO Environmental Corporation, Karen worked as the Director of Field HR at ACE Cash Express from May 2017 to June 2018. Karen was responsible for overseeing the human resources function at the company and played a crucial role in supporting the financial services provider's objectives.

From December 2014 to May 2017, Karen served as a Senior Human Capital Consultant at Sirius Solutions, LLLP. In this role, they partnered with Fortune 500 companies to align people programs and processes with business objectives, focusing on areas such as Leadership and Organizational Development, Talent Management, Change Management, and Learning and Development.

Prior to Sirius Solutions, Karen worked at Kosmos Energy from December 2012 to May 2014 as the Director of Organizational Development. In this role, they collaborated with the Senior Leadership Team to develop a global leadership and talent development framework aligned with the company's goals. Additionally, they managed enterprise-wide succession planning, performance management, training and development, and leadership development activities.

Karen's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Consultant at Resources Global Professionals in 2012, serving as the Vice President of Client Services at River (formerly Triple Creek) from 2010 to 2012, working as a Senior Consultant at Resources Global Professionals in 2009, and holding various positions at Rockwell Collins from 2003 to 2009, including Principal Performance Consultant and Manager of Leadership Development.

Karen began their career as the Director of Training and Org. Development at DigitalThink, Inc. from 2001 to 2003, where they led the company's employee development function and spearheaded process management initiatives. Before that, they worked as a Manager, People Transition at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLC from 2000 to 2001, where they focused on developing and implementing people transition strategies for a business process outsourcing engagement.

Throughout their career, Karen has consistently demonstrated their expertise in human resources and organizational development, collaborating with senior leaders and partnering with clients to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business results.

Karen O'Connor, MBA, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Management from Texas A&M University from 1986 to 1990. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) with a focus on Strategy and International Management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas, which they completed from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Elevating Coaching Skills from Duke University in July 2022.
