Tim Cheung

Tim Cheung is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Cedar since October 2023. Previously, Tim worked at Google from April 2020 to October 2023 in various leadership roles, including Senior Lead for Global Infrastructure Analytics and Optimization, where responsibilities included optimizing multi-billion dollar infrastructure plans and managing a team of eight direct reports. Tim's experience also encompasses roles at Newsela as a Manager of Data Science, where leadership involved enhancing revenue through predictive modeling, and as an Analytics Consultant for small businesses. Tim’s career began in energy research and analytics with positions at ClearView Energy Partners and other organizations, underpinning a strong background in data analytics, infrastructure planning, and economic research. Tim holds both MA and BA degrees in Economics, and a BA in Mathematics from Boston University.
