George Liu

George Liu is a highly accomplished academic and medical professional, currently serving as Professor and Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UCSD School of Medicine and Rady Children's Hospital since January 2019. Additionally, George holds a position as Professor, in residence, in the Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine since 2016, and has been a Principal Investigator and Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2006, where George also serves as Associate Director of the Infectious and Immunologic Diseases Research Center. George Liu earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from UC San Diego between 1995 and 1998, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology from the University of Cambridge from 1991 to 1995, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Caltech, completed in 1990.
