Richard B. Jacobs brings more than 40 years of experience in Southern California healthcare to a leadership role that focuses on strategic planning and the overall development of Cedars-Sinai Health System. His wide-ranging responsibilities include affiliations and partnerships, business development, managed care and payer relations, international health, and facilities planning, design and construction. His strategic vision includes development of new business models that address the demands of a changing healthcare environment.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai in 1994, Jacobs was president of VHA West for more than eight years and held executive positions with the Brighton Consulting Group in Pasadena, California, and Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, California.
Jacobs shares his expertise beyond Cedars-Sinai as a board member of the Integrated Healthcare Association. A native Angeleno, he earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and a master of public health degree from UCLA.
