Xavier Glorot

Xavier Glorot is a Research Scientist at DeepMind since September 2014, with previous experience as a Research Intern at Microsoft for a brief period in 2013. Xavier has also served as a Teaching Assistant at Université de Montréal in late 2011 and completed a Research Internship at Polytechnique Montréal in 2008. Earlier, Xavier worked as a Research and Development Engineer Intern at Hilti from 2006 to 2007. Xavier holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Université de Montréal (2009-2014) and an Engineer’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, and Communications Engineering from CPE Lyon (2005-2009), with additional studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2007-2008.
