Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technologies. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has been a key member of a cross-functional team focused on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Prior experience includes roles as a firmware engineer at SMART Technologies and electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities encompassed firmware development and electronics design for educational tools. Chris has also contributed as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
