Brian Coffey

Brian Coffey has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brian is currently working as a Senior Enterprise Storage and Backup Engineer at D4t4 Solutions Plc, starting in 2021. Prior to this, Brian worked at HERE Technologies from 2013 to 2021, where they held the position of Lead Storage Engineer. In this role, they successfully implemented various projects such as deploying AWS FSX storage solution and implementing the Nagios system monitoring suite. Brian also contributed to story grooming, sprint planning, and project tracking using Jira.

Before joining HERE Technologies, Brian worked at Nokia as a Sr. Systems Engineer in 2012 and at Dell Perot Systems as a Senior Technical Support Analyst from 2007 to 2012. At Nokia, they focused on expanding and maintaining storage backup platforms and performing storage deployments. At Dell Perot Systems, Brian provided technical support to various healthcare customers and performed operational tasks related to storage administration and virtualization.

Brian's earlier experience includes working at EMC from 2000 to 2007, where they held multiple roles such as Principal Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Open Software Support Engineer. In these roles, Brian provided technical support to EMC customers, monitored software service calls, and assisted field personnel in utilizing open software products.

Brian's career started in 1998 at Fujitsu Network Communications as a Systems Administrator, where they performed daily Windows administration tasks and deployed new hardware/software. Brian also worked at Staples and Elcom Services as Desktop Support and End User Desktop Support, respectively.

Brian Coffey has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from UMass Boston and an Associates Degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Massasoit Community College. Additionally, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in November 2020.
