VP IC Engineering at Celeno (Acquired by Renesas Electronics)

Amir Freizeit has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, with a strong focus on IC engineering and R&D management. Amir has held leadership positions in several companies, including Celeno, where they served as Vice President of IC Engineering, and DSP Group, where they were the Vice President and IC Division Deputy Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing the development of high-performance Wi-Fi systems and networks. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of R&D at CellGuide, managing the R&D department for GPS receivers. Amir also served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Zoran Microelectronics, where they led the development of multimedia coprocessors for cell phones. Before that, they held the position of VP of R&D at Emblaze Semiconductor, overseeing the development of consumer ICs for the cell phone market. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Logic Design at Zapex and started their professional journey as an Engineer and Team Leader at National Semiconductor.

Amir Freizeit earned their B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 1986 and 1989. Amir then pursued further studies in the same field and obtained an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the same institution from 1990 to 1994. In 2009, Amir decided to broaden their knowledge and enrolled in The Open University of Israel to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General, which they successfully completed in 2014.
