Msc Colin Wh Cheng

Colin WH Cheng, MSc has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Colin WH began their career as a Peer Tutor for the Arts & Science Undergraduate Society at Queen's University, where they provided tutoring in calculus, statistics, and organic chemistry. Colin WH then became a volunteer for the Queen's Chinese Catholic Community, taking on various roles such as Logistics Coordinator and Volunteer Teaching Assistant, where they managed event logistics and provided academic support to students.

In 2014, Colin joined the Alma Mater Society at Queen's University, serving as a General Volunteer for Studio Q (formerly Yearbook and Design Services), where they photographed university events and completed graphical design projects for the annual yearbook. During this time, they also served as the Tutorials Director for MEDLIFE, organizing exam tutorial sessions and fundraising events to support medical, education, and development initiatives in impoverished countries. Colin WH also participated in a volunteer trip to Cusco, Peru, where they assisted in providing essential healthcare services to rural villages.

Colin's research experience began in 2015 as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Kingston General Hospital, where they investigated the importance of synthetic stool mixtures in protecting against Clostridium difficile infection. Colin WH then joined the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre as a Research Assistant and later as an MSc Researcher, working on projects related to IL-1 modulators and drug derivatives for retinopathies and preterm labor.

In 2017, Colin took on the role of Research Assistant at CIUSSS de l'Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal, where they conducted experiments and assisted in manuscript editing for neuroinflammation and chemistry publications. Most recently, Colin joined Celerion as a Pharmacokinetic Scientist I, where they liaise with various professionals to compile and publish Clinical Study Reports for pharmaceutical clients. Colin WH Cheng, MSc obtained their Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Life Sciences (Drug Development and Human Toxicology) from Queen's University. Colin WH pursued further education at McGill University, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Pharmacology and Therapeutics. In addition to their academic achievements, Cheng has obtained several certifications. Colin WH completed SAS Programming 1: Essentials and Statistics 1: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression, and Logistic Regression courses from SAS.
