Giovanni then pursued their academic endeavors at The Johns Hopkins University, obtaining a PhD in the field of Early Detection of Colon Cancer from 1998 to 2002. Traverso further expanded their knowledge and skills by attending the University of Cambridge for a second time from 2003 to 2006, where they completed their studies in Medicine and was awarded an MB, BChir degree.
