Dakshika Jayathilaka

Dakshika Jayathilaka has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Dakshika currently works as a Lead Engineer User Experience at Celigo since December 2019. Prior to that, they were a Commiter and PMC member at Apache Stratos, where they were involved in developing and managing scalable applications on a cloud-based environment. Dakshika also served as a Visiting Lecturer at multiple universities including University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Colombo School of Computing, and University of Moratuwa, where they imparted knowledge and guidance to students. Dakshika has also worked at WSO2 as a UX Practice Lead, Technical Lead, UX Team Lead, and Software Engineer, focusing on user experience planning, interaction design, and visual design. Additionally, they held the position of General Council at SLASSCOM, a software and services company. Dakshika's earlier experiences include serving as a Visiting Lecturer at NSBM Green University Town and National Institute of Business Management (NIBM - Sri Lanka). Dakshika also has past experience as the Director and CTO at MAYA Creations (Pvt) Ltd.

Dakshika Jayathilaka completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in ICT from the University of Colombo from 2007 to 2011. In addition, they also obtained a Diploma in Marketing Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura during the same time period. Dakshika has also pursued additional certifications, including "UX Foundations: Research" from LinkedIn (obtained year not specified) and "Build your first web pages with HTML and CSS" from OpenClassrooms in 2019.
