Shaylyn Grier is a dedicated researcher in the field of Biomedical Engineering with a comprehensive background that includes experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University under the guidance of Dr. Ankur Singh and Dr. Krishnendu Roy, as well as a CMaT Graduate Trainee at Cell Manufacturing Technologies. Prior roles include serving as an Undergraduate Researcher and Fellow at Florida International University, focusing on projects related to non-small cell lung cancer and NIRS monitoring of muscle activities. Shaylyn has also engaged in STEM outreach as a Summer Camp Facilitator for STEM Gems and held leadership positions as President and STEM Outreach Coordinator for the FIU Biomedical Engineering Society. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering at both Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, Shaylyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Florida International University.
