Diego Alvarado has extensive experience in the field of research, with a focus on molecular biology and biochemistry. Diego started their career as a graduate student at Indiana University, where they conducted research for six years. Following that, they joined the University of Pennsylvania as a Postdoctoral Fellow, specializing in the structural basis for the activation and inhibition of EGF receptor family members. During this time, Diego utilized various techniques such as X-ray crystallography and small angle x-ray scattering to investigate the mechanisms of activation and inhibition.
In 2010, Diego transitioned to the industry and joined Kolltan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Diego rapidly advanced their role, becoming an Associate Director and then the Director of Research. In these positions, Diego played a key role in leading and overseeing research projects related to cancer therapeutics.
Diego's most recent position is with Celldex Therapeutics, where they began as the Director of Research in 2016. Diego demonstrated their expertise and leadership abilities and was promoted to Senior Director of Research in 2019. Currently, Diego holds the position of Executive Director of Research at Celldex Therapeutics.
Throughout their career, Diego Alvarado has consistently demonstrated their dedication to scientific research, making significant contributions in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry.
Diego Alvarado's education history is as follows:
Diego Alvarado completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology at Trinity University from 1994 to 1998. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Genetics at Indiana University Bloomington, where they studied from 1998 to 2004.
