Facilities Manager

Position Summary

Manage the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day facility activities.
  • Implement policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
  • Monitor daily facility/building maintenance to ensure reliability.
  • Assist with reviewing construction drawings, specifications, proposals, and bids, and compile documentation.
  • Manage all vendor activity in compliance with company policies, including selection, contract management, onboarding, and performance, ensuring compliance with project objectives and contractual obligations while maintaining positive and productive vendor relationships.
  • Track work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines.
  • Assists with managing detailed and technical construction information and documentation; ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Create RFPs/RFQs/SOWs, monitor, and track all phases of projects/maintenance to ensure accurate receiving, invoicing, and payment.
  • Maintain, update, and publish facilities maintenance processes and procedures documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent facility-related education/designation or 10 years in the profession.
  • Supervisory/Employee management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the facilities field.
  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Experience with vendor relationship management.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Detail and results-oriented with demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver on commitments while balancing strategic, business, and competing priorities.
  • Experience managing capital projects and expenses.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, generators, and air compressors.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to promote and implement change.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.

Physical Demands – Manufacturing Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day. Position includes ability to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time. The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance (including ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs). Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment – Manufacturing/Shop Environment

Includes a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to hazardous materials used during material prep process.

PPE

  • May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.

The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range. The pay range is designed to support your career progression as you learn, grow, and develop within your role. Your base pay range will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

San Carlos, CA Base Pay
$125,000$140,000 USD
