Dr. Cathrin Schulz

Dr. Cathrin Schulz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dr. Cathrin is currently a Sales Executive DACH & BENELUX at CELLINK since October 2022. Before that, they worked at Merck Life Science, where they held various positions, including Inside Sales Account Manager from April 2019 to October 2022, Inside Sales Account Manager from July 2016 to March 2019, and Inside Technical Sales Specialist from November 2013 to June 2016. Prior to their time at Merck, they served as a Ph.D. student at IGBMC - Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire from March 2008 to September 2012. Dr. Cathrin also worked as an M.Sc. student at the Department for CNS Research of Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH&Co KG from March 2007 to September 2007, as a B.Sc. student at the Institute of Reconstructive Neurobiology from February 2005 to December 2005, and as a Student Research Assistant at the Institute of Molecular Pathology & Gene Diagnostics, IMoGen from January 2003 to January 2005. In their early career, they gained experience as a Biologic-Technical Assistant at the Institute of Pharmacology & Toxicology from July 2001 to August 2002.

Dr. Cathrin Schulz has a diverse educational background in the field of biology. Dr. Cathrin obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Strasbourg University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Cell Biology at Uppsala University from 2006 to 2007.

Dr. Schulz began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Human Biology from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Rheinbach, Germany, where they studied from 2002 to 2005.

Before pursuing their Bachelor's degree, Dr. Schulz gained practical experience in the field as a Biologic-Technical Assistant at Cologne Technical College in Köln, Germany, from 1999 to 2001.

Their educational journey started at Stift Grammar School in Düren, Germany, where they completed their secondary education and obtained an Abitur degree corresponding to GCE (A-levels) from 1990 to 1999.
