Kien Tran

Stem Cell Scientist at Cellino

Kien Tran is a stem cell scientist who has dedicated their career to researching and developing new ways to treat infertility. Kien has worked at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where they gave presentations on their work, and Cellino, where they currently work. Kien's research has focused on using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to treat male infertility. Kien has also worked on developing a novel culture system that can support germ cell development in non-human primate testicular tissues. In 2018, they were awarded the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's Young Investigator Award.

Kien Tran received a Bachelor's Degree in Biotech/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of North Florida. Kien then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics and Developmental Biology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Kien Tran reports to George Harb, VP, Regenerative Biology. They are on a team with Stefanie Morgan - Associate Director, Molecular Biology, Suvi Aivio - Head, Biology.
