Feng-Ming Lin

Senior Scientist at CellMax Life

Feng-Ming Lin has a diverse work experience in the field of research. They started their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Biological Chemistry, Academia Sinica. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Molecular Biology, where they conducted studies on the SUMO chains binding function of the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae meiosis-specific chromosomal protein Red1. They also demonstrated the essential role of Red1 in the assembly of synaptonemal complex during yeast meiosis.

In 2011, Feng-Ming Lin became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the MD Anderson Cancer Center/Texas Heart Institute. In this role, they focused on studying the role of the SENP5 protein in heart health and the regulation of acetylation and SUMOylation of STAT5 during lymphoid development. They also investigated the importance of non-coding RNA in the recruitment of SUMOylated HP1a protein to specific promoters.

In 2015, Feng-Ming Lin joined the Genomics Research Center, Academia Sinica as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for a brief period. In 2015, they also began working at CellMax Life as a Staff Scientist. Over time, they advanced their role to Senior Scientist and then became the Laboratory Director in January 2017. It is unclear when their roles at CellMax Life ended.

Overall, Feng-Ming Lin has extensive experience in conducting research in genetics and molecular biology, with a focus on SUMOylation and protein-protein interactions.

Feng-Ming Lin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science from Chang Gung University in the years spanning 1997 to 2001. Subsequently, Lin pursued a Master's degree in Basic Medical Science from the same university from 2001 to 2003. Finally, Lin attained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Life Sciences from the National Defense Medical Center, completing this degree between 2006 and 2010.
