Mercè Castells Porta

Mercè Castells Porta has extensive work experience in finance and consulting roles. They started their career at La Caixa in 1992 as an Administrative and later worked in the Treasury Department. In 1998, they joined Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Senior Auditor, specializing in auditing services for utilities and telecom companies. In 2001, they moved to Arthur Andersen Business Consulting as a Senior Consultant in the Utilities & Telecom - Finance sector. In 2003, they worked as a Senior Consultant at BearingPoint. In 2004, they joined Abertis as a Senior Financial Controller at Abertis Telecom. In 2015, they transitioned to Cellnex Telecom as the Head of Corporate Financial Planning and Control, and later became the Global F&A Director - Financial Planning & Analysis. They also served as a Board Member at Cellnex Italia and CK Hutchison Networks Italia S.p.A.

Mercè Castells Porta received their Master and Bachelor in Business Administration from Esade from 1993 to 1998. In 1997, they participated in an Erasmus program at Università Bocconi, focusing on Finance. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Financial and Accounting Management at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Recently, in 2022 and 2023, they attended Esade for the Promociona 10.2 - Programa Ejecutivo para Mujeres en la Alta Dirección.
