Angela Centra

Angela Centra has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Starting their career at JCK in 2005 as a Tote Manager, they were responsible for creating a competitive and profitable betting product. From 2008 to 2012, they worked at Cellulant Kenya Ltd as a Senior Product Architect and later as a Team Lead. Their role involved managing mobile platforms and developing customer user experiences for various business partners.

In 2012, Angela joined Cellulant (Zimbabwe) (Private) Ltd as a Country Manager. Their responsibilities included driving Cellulant's strategy and mobile commerce positioning in the market, developing mobile money products, and handling day-to-day administrative duties. Angela held this position until 2019.

Angela then joined Cellulant as a Group HR Business Partner from 2019 to 2020. During this time, they played a crucial role in developing strategies and tools for people growth and talent management. Angela also served as the Acting Head of People, Payments, where they drove people development programs and managed the employee experience to drive organizational performance.

Most recently, Angela has been working at KOKO Networks as the Head of People, Kenya since 2021. As the head of people, they are responsible for overseeing the people operations and developing strategies for people growth and talent management within the organization.

Angela Centra obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Business School Nederland in the years 2014-2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Nairobi from 2001-2005. Additionally, they completed CPA II from Strathmore University in 2001-2002. Angela also has various additional certifications in areas such as leadership, human resources, and organization design from reputable institutions such as McKinsey & Company and LinkedIn.
