Catherine Wangechi

Catherine Wangechi, CPA, has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Catherine is currently working at Cellulant as the Principal of Sales Planning & Coordination, where they spearhead strategic sales initiatives, devises and executes sales plans, and drives revenue growth through effective coordination. Prior to that, Catherine worked at Jumia Group in multiple positions, including Regional Head of Commercial Operations and Revenue Management, where they established efficient workflow processes and collaborated with different teams to drive performance and organize Tier 1 events. Catherine also served as a Commercial Planner and Merchandiser & Pricing Manager at Jumia, optimizing key KPIs, coordinating execution of performance actions, and driving sales through campaigns and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Before joining Jumia, Catherine worked at Safaricom PLC as an Investment Analyst, where they researched new revenue opportunities, conducted cost-benefit analysis, and provided strategic recommendations for investment decisions. Catherine also worked as an Accounts Assistant at Safaricom, responsible for bank reconciliations, performance reporting, client assessment, and establishing workflow systems.

Catherine Wangechi, CPA pursued their education at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's degree in Financial Engineering with a specialization in Finance. In addition, they attended KCA University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant in the field of Accounting. Catherine has also obtained additional certifications, including "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" from LinkedIn, as well as being a Certified Public Accountant from ICPAK.
