Simon Lee

Simon Lee has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Treasurer at Camp Kesem. Simon also worked on a summer project as a Game Developer. In 2022, they completed an internship at the University of California, Los Angeles as a Computational and Genomic Analyst Intern, where they built a deep learning model to predict future blood pressure. In 2021, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the UC Santa Cruz Genomics Institute, where they collaborated with Vedu Mallela on a single-cell genomics methods development problem. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at Celsius Therapeutics.

Simon Lee is currently enrolled in the Life Sciences Engineering program at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) since 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics from Baskin Engineering at UCSC in 2022. Before that, they attended Northgate High School from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they have received a Research Excellence Award from the University of California, Los Angeles in August 2022 and was a Trained Mentor from Mentor Collective in August 2021.
