Camilo Sanchez Betancourt serves as the Sustainability Director for South America, Central America, and the Caribbean at CEMEX since February 2010, having previously held the positions of Sustainability Manager and Asesor Ambiental Operaciones within the same company. Additionally, Camilo leads the Sustainability Committee at FICEM and is a board member of Asocarbono, while also having contributed as the leader of the Climate Change and Coprocessing Committee at FICEM Cemento. Prior experience includes serving as a project director in Environmental Project Management from January 2008 to January 2010. Camilo Sanchez Betancourt holds a Master's degree in Development Practices, Sustainable Development from Universidad de Los Andes and has completed various certifications, including a LEED Green Associate workshop and an HSEQ Auditor course. An undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering with a focus on sustainability was earned from Universidad de Los Andes.
