Lisa Y. has extensive experience in human resources and people management. Lisa is currently working as the VP of HR and Chief of Staff at Cemvita Inc., where they are responsible for shaping the employee experience and building a roadmap towards becoming an employer of choice in the Biotech industry. Prior to this, Lisa held the role of VP, People & Culture at Conversant Group and Head of People at DoControl.
Previously, Lisa served as the Global Director - HR & People Operations at Digital Shadows, where they worked closely with the C-Suite executives to define the organization's growth mission and goals and drive strategic HR management. Lisa also held various leadership roles at Parker Wellbore, including Global HR Director - Corporate & Technology, Senior HR Manager - Corporate, US & GOM, Senior HR Business Partner - Global, and Regional HR Manager - UK, Europe & CIS.
Before joining Parker Wellbore, Lisa worked at Cameron, a Schlumberger company, as a Regional HR Manager and an International HR Business Partner. Lisa supported the senior leadership team and provided strategic HR support in various locations. Lisa also gained experience as the Head of HR at AC Yule & Son Ltd and COSALT OFFSHORE GROUP LIMITED.
Lisa began their career as a Compensation & Benefits Advisor at abrdn and later worked as a UK & Overseas Payroll Specialist at MI-SWACO. Through their career, Lisa has demonstrated their ability to align HR strategy with business goals and drive HR transformation and integration during mergers and acquisitions.
Lisa Y. completed their education at various institutions throughout their career. In 1996, they completed their secondary education at Kincorth Academy. From 2000 to 2002, they attended North East Scotland College, majoring in Accounting & Contract Law.
Lisa then pursued their higher education at Robert Gordon University, where they obtained a Graduate degree in Management from 2009 to 2010. Continuing their studies at the same university, Lisa completed their Msc in Human Resource Management from 2010 to 2013.
In 2013, they enrolled at Leeds University Business School and completed a Diploma of Education with a focus on Neuro Linguistic Programming in 2014.
Additionally, Lisa Y. holds several certifications. Lisa became a member of CIPD in 2004 and obtained the MCIPD certification in 2008 from CIPD Qualifications. In 2018, they became a member of SHRM, completing the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification in 2020. Lisa received the Bennie Advisory Board Member certification from Bennie in 2021 and, most recently, obtained the Veterans at Work certification from SHRM in May 2023.
