Nathan Roberts has a diverse work experience in the field of fermentation and process development. Nathan is currently working as the Head of Fermentation at Cemvita Inc since January 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Research Scientist - Process Development at the same company from August 2021. Nathan also served as a Fermentation Scientist at Cemvita Inc from October 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining Cemvita Inc, Nathan worked at Auburn University, where they held various positions. Nathan was a Research Assistant from August 2016 to May 2020, during which they developed an EC protocol for the study of microbial co-cultures and conducted bench-scale bioreactor experiments. As a Graduate Assistant from June 2018 to June 2019, they supported research activities, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2015 to July 2016, they assisted in teaching.

Nathan's work experience also includes a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the USF Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering from January 2014 to August 2015.

Nathan Roberts completed their education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Nathan obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of South Florida, which they attended from 2012 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Auburn University from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their academic qualifications, Nathan obtained several certifications in various areas, including Lab Safety and Hazard Waste from Auburn University, and certifications from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers in topics such as Runaway Reactions, Inherently Safer Design, Process Safety, Chemical Reactivity Hazards, Dust Explosion Control, and Safety in the Chemical Process Industries. Nathan also obtained a certification in "Having Career Conversations with Your Team" from LinkedIn in June 2023.
