Emily Thompson

Emily Thompson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic operations, business development, and marketing across various industries. Currently serving as Chief of Staff in the Office of the CEO at Cengage Group since September 2019, Emily oversees strategic relationships and manages significant acquisition processes, including a $200M cybersecurity training company acquisition. Prior to this role, Emily held several key positions at American Express from August 2014 to July 2019, including Director of Marketing & Business Development, where responsibilities included driving prepaid business strategy and managing a virtual team. Earlier experiences include roles at Cotton Incorporated and CLEAR, where project management and corporate partnership management were focal points. Emily holds a B.A. in History of Art and Architecture from Brown University.
