Dave Avers is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in business development and performance analysis within the energy and refining sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Business Development Engineer at Cenovus Energy, Dave previously held similar positions at BP-Husky Refining LLC, managing over 200 investment ideas annually with a capital budget exceeding $100 million. Dave has also led solution development at Honeywell, focusing on large-scale refining and petrochemical projects, and spent nearly three decades at bp in various analytical and advisory roles, contributing to financial performance improvements and strategic initiatives. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
