M.s.cj Kayla Shelton-Burleigh

Kayla Shelton-Burleigh, M.S.CJ, currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Center City Public Charter Schools since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Dean of Student Support and General Education Math Teacher at DC Prep from July 2021 to July 2023, and Founding Lead Coach for 1st/2nd grade at I Dream PCS from August 2020 to July 2021. Kayla's background also features teaching as a General Education Teacher during the Teach For America Corps at BC Haynie Elementary School and positions in software engineering and social emotional learning. Kayla holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Penn State University.
