Selamawit Mamo

Selamawit Mamo is a dedicated educational professional with significant experience in mathematics instruction and family engagement. Currently, as a Project Team Member for Bridging for Mathematical Argumentation since June 2016, Selamawit contributes to enhancing mathematical reasoning among students. In addition, Selamawit has been a member of the Family Engagement Leadership Team at Center City Public Charter Schools - Brightwood Campus since August 2013, focusing on improving engagement practices for over 250 students. As a former 6-8th Grade Math Teacher, Selamawit successfully led middle school classrooms and implemented differentiated lessons for diverse learners. Selamawit also directed an after-school ESL program for English language learners, emphasizing language development. Selamawit served as President of the Lambda Iota Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. and holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Math and Special Education from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services from James Madison University.
