Eugene Mok is an experienced attorney and military officer currently serving as an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security since October 2019 and as a Next Generation National Security Fellow at the Center for a New American Security since January 2022. Mok also holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, where responsibilities have included roles as a Judge Advocate General and various positions such as Legal Officer and Weapons Officer. Previous legal experience includes internships at the Department of Justice, where Mok worked on civil aviation and national security matters, and served as a Legal Research Assistant while pursuing a J.D. at American University Washington College of Law. Mok earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Villanova University.
