Alexandra Preston

Alexandra Preston is a Senior Policy Analyst focusing on Criminal Justice Reform at the Center for American Progress, a position held since November 2021. Previously, Alexandra served as a Legal and Legislative Advocate at the Maryland Prisoners’ Rights Coalition and worked as a Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University's Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Additional roles include Program Mentor for the Maryland Youth and Government Program, Student Attorney at the Northeastern University Prisoners' Rights Clinic, Legal Intern at the Alexander Williams Center for Education, Justice, and Ethics, Law Clerk at Maryland Legal Aid, Legislative Intern for Delegate Joseline Peña-Melnyk, and various positions at the Maryland Addictions Directors Council. Alexandra Preston earned a Doctor of Law degree from Northeastern University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health from American University.
