Kendra Hughes is currently serving as the Associate Director for Clean Energy and Conservation at the Center for American Progress since April 2024. Prior experience includes the role of US Policy Manager for Methane Pollution Prevention at Clean Air Task Force from January 2023 until April 2024, and a significant tenure at the Environmental Defense Fund from July 2016 to January 2023, where responsibilities encompassed advocating for climate change legislation, managing relationships with Congressional staff, and leading policy initiatives. Kendra also held positions at Greenpeace, contributing as an Office Assistant and Executive Office Intern, and gained administrative experience as a Human Resources Assistant with the National Park Service and an Admissions Office Intern at Mount St. Mary's University. Kendra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Mount St. Mary's University, completed in 2015.
