Paige Shoemaker Demio Mpa

Paige Shoemaker DeMio, MPA, currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst in K-12 Education Policy at the Center for American Progress, a position held since May 2023. Prior experience includes a Legislative Intern role in the United States Senate and an Education Policy Intern with the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions. Paige worked at the Ohio Department of Education as an Adult Education Options Graduate Intern, where responsibilities included data analysis, legislative research, and stakeholder engagement. Paige also has significant teaching experience as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, where leadership and curriculum development were key areas of focus. Early career roles included serving as a Corps Member for Teach For America and a Deputy Clerk/Intern at the Franklin County Probate Court. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, Sociology-Criminology from Ohio University.
