Rosa I. Barrientos-Ferrer

Senior Policy Analyst, Immigration at Center for American Progress

Rosa I. Barrientos-Ferrer is a seasoned policy analyst specializing in immigration, currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for American Progress since June 2023. Previously, Rosa held the position of Border Policy Advocacy Coordinator for the Southern Border Communities Coalition at Alliance San Diego from April 2021 to May 2023. Rosa's earlier experience includes roles as Organizing Campaign Coordinator and Northern California Organizer at CHIRLA, where strategic plans were designed to mobilize immigrant youth for pro-immigrant advocacy. Rosa has also engaged in student leadership development as a Student Organizer with the California Faculty Association, served as a Congressional Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives, and worked as a Youth Advocate with Young Invincibles. Rosa's educational background consists of a Bachelor’s Degree in American Government and Ethnic Studies from California State University-Sacramento and an Associate’s Degree in Chicana/o Studies from East Los Angeles College.
