Trevor Higgins

Trevor Higgins has extensive experience in energy and environmental policy, currently serving as Senior Vice President for Energy and Environment at the Center for American Progress since May 2019, where Trevor has held multiple leadership roles. In addition to this position, Trevor taught a graduate course on climate investment policy at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy in late 2023. Previous roles include serving as Legislative Assistant for Senator Dianne Feinstein focused on energy, climate, and transportation policy, and working as a Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Energy. Earlier experiences include a detailee position in the U.S. House of Representatives and a research role at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Trevor's educational background includes a Master of Public Policy focused on Energy and Climate Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology & Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan.
