Sofia Buitrago

Sofia Buitrago is an experienced quantitative research assistant currently working at the Center for Applied Linguistics since May 2022. Prior roles include an internship at the Linguistic Society of America, where website improvements and resource updates for the Linguistic Academic Depository were handled, and a research assistant position at Georgetown University, focusing on interview transcriptions for dialect interaction projects. Earlier internship experiences include work at the Instituto Cervantes at Harvard University, enhancing databases related to the Spanish language in the United States, and various roles at the University of Miami Industrial Assessment Center, where Sofia developed and improved Microsoft Access databases. Sofia Buitrago holds a Master of Science in Linguistics from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences from Wellesley College.
