Michaela Johnson

Michaela Johnson, CPA, has a strong background in finance and accounting, with progressive roles in various companies. Michaela is currently serving as the VP, Finance and Accounting at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines since January 2022. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Finance at the same company from March 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining the Center for Breakthrough Medicines, Michaela worked as the VP of Finance at Renmatix from March 2019 to March 2021. Michaela also held the position of Controller at Ocugen from September 2017 to February 2019 and at Churchill Pharmaceuticals LLC from November 2016 to September 2017.

Michaela's earlier experience includes roles such as Accounting Manager at Celator Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from April 2016 to November 2016, Senior Manager of Accounting at Onconova Therapeutics, Inc. from August 2013 to April 2016, and Accounting Specialist at the same company from October 2012 to July 2013.

Michaela started their career as an Accounts Payable Analyst / Vendor Liaison at NCO Financial Systems from October 2010 to October 2012, and prior to that, they worked as an Accounting Clerk at Hamilton Honda from April 2009 to September 2010.

Michaela Johnson, CPA has a diverse education history. Michaela started their journey by attending Cumberland County College from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a focus on Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Following this, from 2007 to 2008, they attended The College of New Jersey, where they pursued Secondary Education - Mathematics.

However, Michaela's true passion seemed to lie in accounting, as they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Everest University-Brandon, completing their studies from 2008 to 2011.

To enhance their professional qualifications, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in November 2014 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
