Pragnya Desai

Pragnya Desai currently serves as the Associate Director of Supplier Relationship Management at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines since March 2022, following a role as Senior Procurement Manager at GreenLight Biosciences in 2021. Desai has extensive procurement management experience, having held several key positions including Purchase Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Fisher Clinical Services, and Senior Buyer Planner for Shire and Baxalta. Notably, Desai contributed significantly to the direct material procurement divisions at Baxter International, achieving substantial cost savings and leading the implementation of critical ERP systems. Early career experience includes roles in procurement and production chemistry at Cipla and Elegan and Trends Pharma Pvt. Ltd., along with foundational training in quality control at Rhone-Poulenc. Desai holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai.
