Syamkumar Siv Pillai

Syamkumar Siv Pillai is a highly experienced professional in the field of analytical development and research leadership. Currently serving as Manager of Analytical Development at SK Pharmteco since May 2022, Syamkumar leads the plasmid analytics team, focusing on platform assay development and validation. Previous roles include Associate Research Scientist at Texas A&M University, where leadership of a research team encompassing 14 staff members was undertaken, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Idaho, responsible for project management and research publication. Additional experience includes positions at Washington State University and the Indian Institute of Spices Research, with a strong emphasis on analytical techniques such as HPLC and molecular biology applications. Syamkumar holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Calicut, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the University of Kerala.
