Center for Climate Strategies
Thomas Peterson serves as the President and CEO of the Center for Climate Strategies since 2004, guiding collaborative climate policy efforts among stakeholders. In addition to this role, Thomas has been an adjunct professor at The Johns Hopkins University, where courses on Climate Change Adaptation and International Climate Change Policy are developed and taught. Having held adjunct positions at George Mason University and Penn State University, focused on conflict resolution and climate law, respectively, Thomas brings extensive academic engagement to complement a rich professional background. Previous positions include Domestic Policy Director at the Center for Clean Air Policy and various roles at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Council of Economic Advisers, and the U.S. Senate, contributing to climate policy formulation and economic analysis. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, a MEM from Duke University, and a BS from William & Mary.

Center for Climate Strategies
The Center for Climate Strategies provides high-level support for planning, analysis, and implementation of climate, energy, and economic programs in partnership with government and institutional leaders and their stakeholders. Our work has been instrumental in setting and achieving new goals for climate change and sustainable energy and economy approaches in the US and other nations. We provide pathways for integration of subnational and national programs, including both executive, legislative branch and private sector actions. CCS supports the development of financing and other implementation mechanisms for all sectors of the economy, and provides full spectrum training, capacity building, and technical assitance.
