Mark Borrelli

Mark Borrelli is a Research Geologist at Stone Living Lab since October 2020 and has been a Research Fellow and Director of the Coastal Processes and Ecosystems Laboratory (CaPE Lab) at the University of Massachusetts Boston since January 2010. Additionally, Mark serves as a Coastal Geologist at the Center for Coastal Studies, where Mark has also held the position of Director of the Seafloor Mapping Program and Chair of the Marine Geology Department since June 2009. Previous experience includes working as a Storm Hazard Analyst for Texas A&M University and the National Park Service and as a Coastal Geologist for the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management. Mark Borrelli holds a Ph.D. in Geosciences from the University of Rhode Island, an MS in Geological Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BS in Geology and Environmental Sciences from Tufts University.
